Internet memes as internet signs: A semiotic view of digital culture

Abstract: Abstract. Th is article argues for a clearer framework of internet-based "memes". “…This article analyses a delimited corpus of Internet memes showcasing former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, who was frequently in the limelight.
