“…As far as the observed increased urinary excretion of toxic metals and other toxicants is concerned, the present observations extend and expand the results we first described in 2017 (3). In that article, we described increased urinary excretion of lipophilic toxicants associated with intermittent fasting, weight loss and consumption of the probiotic yogurt; in the present article, we are able to add that consumption of this peculiar probiotic yogurt is associated also with increased excretion of toxic metals and non-lipophilic toxicants such as Glyphosate.…”

“…We have previously observed and reported in two recent articles (1,2) that the consumption of an extremely biodiverse probiotic yogurt with a unique microbial composition is associated with detoxification of non-metal toxicants (3), decrease of serum alpha-Nacetylgalactosaminidase (nagalase) activity (3,4), decrease of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) (4), decrease of markers specific for multiple myeloma (5), and a dramatic decrease of viral load in Hepatitis B (6).…”

“…Such a protection occurs by reducing the levels of cadmium in blood and ameliorating alterations in the levels of glutathione and malondialdehyde that are associated with cadmium toxicity (49). The presence of phage TUC2009 represents an interesting addition to the detoxification properties of the examined product as they were described in Blythe et al (12). This is due to increased expression of the gene cadA that is about 20-fold higher in uninfected Lactococcus than in the bacteria infected by phage TUC2009 (50).…”

“…Consistent with this hypothesis, consumption of a product deriving from fermentation of milk and colostrum, the latter being naturally rich in DBP, for three weeks, was associated with significant improvement of immune system function (7). Based on this experience, this product of fermentation of milk and colostrum containing probiotic strains typical of yogurts and kefirs, has been used in a nutritional approach for chronic conditions since 2014 (10,11,12).…”

“…For example, the ability of probiotic strains to bind and eliminate mutagenic and neuro-toxic lipophilic toxicants may prove useful in both conditions. 66 Also the endogenous production of butyrate and acetate may prove useful in both conditions considering that butyrate has proven anti-cancer and neuro-protective properties, and acetate is instrumental for inducing and maintaining a level of ketosis that has proven beneficial in autism and cancer.
