Intercâmbios virtuais e a internacionalização em casa: reflexões e implicações para a Linguística Aplicada

Abstract

<jats:p>Projetos telecolaborativos utilizando ferramentas digitais vêm ampliando, na atualidade, as possibilidades de internacionalização das universidades ao redor do mundo. Neste artigo, trazemos os resultados de uma pesquisa realizada no contexto do Programa Brazilian Virtual Exchange (BRaVE-UNESP) sobre as estratégias para uso de inglês como língua franca em atividades colaborativas de intercâmbio virtual adotadas por professores de diferentes áreas do conhecimento. Por meio de metodologia qualitativa, enfocamos as perspectivas dos professores em relação às dificuldades e estratégias usadas para lidar com a comunicação entre os alunos por meio da língua inglesa. Os resultados trazem reflexões e implicações para a Linguística Aplicada em relação à necessidade de se pensar diretrizes para um novo papel do professor de línguas como mediador de contextos de intercâmbios virtuais.</jats:p>
