High dropout rates in higher education pose a significant challenge, prompting a need for effective retention strategies. Research shows promoting students’ engagement as key factor in retention. This is most effectively nurtured through regular activities that explicitly connect to academic goals and involve all students. This study proposes to investigate the role of reciprocity which involves the exchange of knowledge and resources on the basis of mutual benefits, and considers WhatsApp groups as an interactive medium for connecting and sharing. Data from an online questionnaire of 309 university students was used to test the research model. Data analysis was performed using the partial least squares method. The findings revealed that that information quality (IQ) and service quality (SERQ) exert a positive influence on satisfaction (SAT), while system quality (SQ) does not. Similarly, reciprocity has a positive influence on both SAT and intention to stay (INTENT). Moreover, our study reaffirmed the established positive relationship between SAT and INTENT. Online platforms like WhatsApp groups, supported by reciprocity and a higher quality of contents and services, can promote satisfaction and knowledge sharing among students, ultimately addressing the challenge of student retention in higher education.

Perpustakaan merupakan sebuah tempat atau wadah yang dapat berfungsi untuk mengumpulkan dan menawarkan berbagai macam hal pengetahuan yang berbentuk cetak atau rekam. Berkembangnya teknologi saat ini yang begitu pesat dapat memberikan kemudahan sarana informasi maupun komunikasi sangat mempengaruhi terhadap kelancaran aktivitas bisnis yang membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan untuk penyimpanan data yang didukung oleh database atau basis data. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang dan membangun Basis Data Perpustakaan di Universitas yang memudahkan dalam pengelolaan data dengan menggunakan Physical Data Model dan Entity Relationship Diagram. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadopsi metode Waterfall. Hasil dari perancangan dan pembuatan desain basis data perpustakaan Universitas memungkinkan untuk menyimpan data atau membuat dan melihat perubahan serta mengambil informasi dengan cepat dan mudah.

Surabaya possesses considerable potential for economic growth and the tourism industry. The Surabaya City Government is actively harnessing this potential, one of which involves establishing the Culinary Tourism Center to introduce a variety of traditional Surabaya cuisine. Specifically, the Surabaya City Government has initiated the creation of the Wonorejo Culinary Tourism Center (SWK) to showcase the iconic Surabaya dishes. In pursuit of this objective, an information platform, based on a website, has been developed using PHP programming technology and a MySQL database, employing the Model View Controller approach supported by the CodeIgniter framework. This website is intended to furnish information about the diverse Surabaya dishes accessible at the Wonorejo Culinary Tourism Center to the local community and visitors from beyond Surabaya. The research process encompasses various methodologies, including literature review, observation, interviews, and surveys. The research findings, which encompass both internal and external testing, indicate a success rate of 80.67%. These results signify that this information platform is a valuable tool for facilitating the acquisition of information about the legendary and other culinary offerings available at SWK Wonorejo, benefiting visitors from Surabaya and beyond.
