Objetivo: Evaluar la relacion entre la inteligencia espiritual y el estres percibido en estudiantes del septimo ciclo de la asignatura de Educacion Alimentaria en el periodo 2017-I de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad Nacional de Educacion Enrique Guzman y Valle. Materiales y Metodos: Estudio transversal. Se administro el Inventario del Autoinforme de la Inteligencia Espiritual (Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory: SISRI-24) y la Escala de Estres Percibido (EEP) en 26 estudiantes universitarios. Se analizo la correlacion entre los puntajes obtenidos por el EEP y el puntaje total de Inteligencia Espiritual, asi como sus componentes (Pensamiento critico existencial, Produccion de significados personales, Conciencia trascendental y Expansion del estado de conciencia). Resultados: El puntaje promedio de Estres Percibido obtenido fue de 27.5 ± 3.6 puntos, mientras que el de Inteligencia Espiritual fue de 53.5±13.1. Se encontro una correlacion media inversa entre Estres Percibido y la Inteligencia Espiritual en conjunto (coeficiente de correlacion: - 0.460; p= 0.018); y las dimensiones de Significado Personal de Produccion (coeficiente de correlacion: - 0.488; p= 0.011) y Expansion del Estado de Conciencia (coeficiente de correlacion: - 0.483; p= 0.013). Conclusion: Existe una relacion inversamente proporcional entre estres percibido e inteligencia emocional en estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad Nacional de Educacion Enrique Guzman y Valle. Se sugiere que futuros estudios apliquen estos instrumentos en muestras mayores y con mejores metodos de seleccion.

This paper has investigated the importance of spiritual and emotional quotient in reinforcing the values of Islamic ethics. The development of good character in Islam is the process of encountering with individual feelings that contributes to the creation of and support of good and proper feelings such as forgiveness, compassion, love, generosity, and courage and fights against negative feelings such as envy, anger, selfishness and dastardliness and suppresses them. Character-making should do many works with patience and persistence in controlling feelings resulting in negative dimensions and reinforcing feelings resulting in positive ethics. Employing and controlling feelings will result in training deserved ethics. In addition, it leads a healthy spiritual and psychic life. New research show that individuals who reinforce their own spiritual motivations and have developed their own emotional quotient, are more inclined to achieve competitive advantage than those who have not this intelligence. The main objective of this research is to investigate a new field in modern psychology including emotional quotient and spiritual quotient that is aimed at whether new psychological approaches and positive findings of studying human emotions and feelings can contribute to the Islamic ethics or not.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of yoga on spiritual intelligence in air traffic controllers in Tehran flight control center. This was a quasi-experimental research and the study population includes all air traffic controllers in Tehran flight control center. The sample consisted of 40 people of the study population that were selected through convenience sampling method and were randomly divided into experimental group (20) and control group (n=20). This research was conducted through training yoga on the air traffic controllers to experimental group compared with the control group. The data were evaluated as the changes resulted after the intervention (post-test) compared to the previous condition (pre-test). King's (2008) Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory (SISRI) was used to measure the variables. The data were analyzed by analysis of covariance. The results showed that yoga exercises had a significant effect on spiritual intelligence and its components (critical thinking, personal meaning production, expanded state of consciousness, transcendental consciousness) in the subjects.
