“…In this desirability approach, a settable value, namely, RE or biomass growth rate, is introduced to the responses to be maximized by aeration‐response during dynamically changing illumination intensity and photoperiod (Meng et al, 2021). The 3D plots and contour‐lines pots of the quadratic model were formed by maintaining aeration at the central level and altering the other two conditions (illumination intensity and photoperiod) within their ranges (Soleymani Robati et al, 2021). As ambient conditions (illumination intensity and photoperiod) can affect wastewater treatment and biomass production, aeration by air pump can be used for responding to ambient conditions.…”

“…On the basis of it, settable value (aeration) can be set in responses to ambient conditions to optimize the effect on wastewater and biomass growth rate. The check can start at zero of the external limit and move toward one as it gets close to the objective (Soleymani Robati et al, 2021). The 3D plots and contour-line pots of the quadratic model were formed by maintaining aeration at the central level and altering the other two conditions (illumination intensity and photoperiod) within their ranges.…”

“…The oleaginous yeast Metschnikowia pulcherrima was grown on distillery wash and could produce fatty-acid methyl esters with a titer of 1.4 g/l after optimization of culture time, pH, and temperature (Anbarasan et al., 2018 ). Recently, it has been shown that the algae Chlorella vulgaris CCAP 211/19 can both remove colorants in this waste stream and produce oleaginous biomass (Soleymani Robati et al., 2021 ), which may be of use for biofuels production. An approximately 30-fold dilution of the distillery wash was used to reduce the COD to 2 g/l, with the purpose of reducing its inhibitory effects (Table 1 ).…”
