“…As shown in Figure b,e and c,f, the intensity of the whole C–S region obviously decreases during the heating. This feature reveals that the carbon–sulfur bond was decomposed during the heating process, while the decomposition temperature of HS-L/HPASS is much higher than 300 °C, as shown in Figure S3 . Therefore, the newly formed C–S bond by the thiol-ene reaction between the thiol group and CF is different from the carbon–sulfur bond in PASS.…”

“…48,49 After modifying with thiol-terminated-PASS, the new generated peaks at 3100−2800 and 720 cm −1 in the spectrum of CF@HS-LPASS and CF@HS-HPASS are related to methyl and methylene vibrations (−CH 3 and −CH 2 −) and carbon−sulfur bonds (C−S), 50 respectively, indicating that the thiol-ene click reaction took place between thiol groups in HS-L/HPASS and CFs, and the typical −SO 2 − vibration at 1150 cm −1 confirms that the modified PASS resin has been successfully connected with CFs by the thiol-ene click reaction. 4 In order to distinguish the newly generated C−S bond between CFs and thiol groups from the original C−S bond in the grafted molecular chains, we used the normalized temperature-dependent IR spectra to analyze the decomposition of the newly generated C−S bond at high temperature. In this part of the experiment, chopped CFs that were modified with HS-L/HPASS chains and KBr powder were prepared into CF/KBr dishes for the FTIR experiments.…”

“…The interfacial properties between CF and poly (arylene sulfide sulfone) (PASS) were improved by grafting amine containing PASS (NH 2 -PASS) chains onto the CF surface [ 99 ]. First, CFs were acid treated to form carboxyl groups on the CF surface.…”

“…1−5 For decades, the increasing requirement for advanced materials has driven the development and applications of thermoplastic composites, which were reinforced by continuous carbon fiber. 6 Consequently, the new types of high-performance carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites, which are applied in high-end fields requiring high mechanical and thermal properties, attract extensive attention.…”

“…Composites have been high-purpose for much to do with structural applications in these years, such as electronics, the military industry, aerospace, rail transit, and recreational sports. Among them, thermoplastic composite materials have a broader application prospect because of their outstanding toughness, superior mechanical properties, secondary processing, recyclability, shorter molding time, and excellent solvent resistance. For decades, the increasing requirement for advanced materials has driven the development and applications of thermoplastic composites, which were reinforced by continuous carbon fiber . Consequently, the new types of high-performance carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites, which are applied in high-end fields requiring high mechanical and thermal properties, attract extensive attention.…”
