Impact of special aviation gymnastics instruments training on selected hormones in cadets' blood serum and plasma

Abstract: Objectives: This study has aimed at investigating the impact of the Special Aviation Gymnastics Instruments (SAGI) training scheme on the blood serum cortisol, testosterone, insulin, and plasma adrenaline, noradrenaline, and dopamine in comparison with a control group. Material and Methods: Fifty-five cadets, aged 20 years old, participated in the study. Cadets were divided into 2 groups: A (N = 41) -the SAGI-trained, and B (N = 14) -the control group. In both groups, blood was the examined material, sampled t… Show more

“…The concentration of phosphorus in the blood of the examined women was determined using the StatFax 4700 (USA) spectrophotometer in the conditions of a certified medical laboratory. The concentration of cortisol in blood serum was investigated by the method of immunoassay analysis, guided by the physiologically acceptable norm for a given age within the range of 150-660 nmol/l (Smilios, et al, 2014;Wochyński, et al, 2017).…”

“…The modern system of fitness industry, in spite of the wide variety of existing types and classifications, mainly consists of 3 main areas: dance fitness, power fitness and bodybuilding (Potop, 2008;Grigore, 2014;Grigore, 2017;Seynnes, et al, 2017;Chernozub, et al, 2015Chernozub, et al, , 2016Philippou, et al, 2017). Each of these directions is significantly different from others, not only in the structure of training patterns, the volume and intensity of training loads, the technique of performing specialized physical exercises, but also by the efficiency of various tasks solving, according to level of physical capacity, gender and age characteristics (Korobeynikov, et al, 2000;Wells, et al, 2006;Paunksnis, et al, 2017;Wochyński, et al, 2017).…”

“…Extensive use of biochemical control indicators (hormones, enzymes, microelements, etc .) to assess the adaptive-compensatory reaction of athletes in training and competitive activities is an integral part of the training system in martial arts and fitness ( Marques et al, 2017 ; Philippou et al, 2017 ; Wochyński & Sobiech, 2017 ; Titova et al, 2018 ; Kılıc et al, 2019 ; Tota & Wiecha, 2022 ) in recent decades. At the same time there is no clear definition which indicators of biochemical blood control reliably reflect the course of adaptive changes depending on the structure of special strength training and the peculiarities of the training load regime for MMA athletes of strike fighting style.…”

“…It includes Special Aviation Gymnastics Instruments (SAGI) exercises, which consist of looping, gyroscope and the aero wheel, used in shaping spatial orientation, sight-movement coordination, balance and psychomotor efficiency. The design of the above-mentioned instruments and their impact on human body has been demonstrated in a number of studies [1][2][3][4]. In the process of pilot training, apart from the general performance, coordination of motor skills also plays an important role.…”
