Human Electroretinogram after Argon Laser Photocoagulation of Different Retinal Areas

Abstract: Two groups of 10 diabetics were photocoagulated in different ways. In one group the treatment was started in the central area. The other group was initially coagulated in the periphery. ERGs were recorded before, between, and after the separate coagulation sessions. It was found that the ERG was reduced more than expected on the basis of the coagulated area.
