Show more

“…However, other parameters such as water quality, temperature, and current also significantly influence the life pattern of reef fish. A large number of living corals will directly impact the food consumed by the fish of the Chaetodontidae family (Titaheluw et al 2015). Fatimah et al (2020) explain the relationship between Chaetodontidae and Pomacentridae fish with the coral genus in Bedukang waters, showing that Chaetodontidae and Pomacentridae fish such as the coral genus Acropora, Euphylia, Favites, Fungia, Galaxia, Goniopora, Lobophyllia, Pavona, Porites, Pstiammpora, Turbinpora, Platygyra and Symphyllia with a data accuracy of 70.80%.…”

“…The abundance and reef fish genera, was observed using UVS (Underwater Visual Census) method, at a depth of 3 m and 10 m [19,20,21]. A 50 m line of scuba diving was conducted and equipped with a 2.5 m belt transect in the left and right sides, also 5 m of belt upright.…”

“…It is noteworthy that the greater the value for living coral cover percentage will imply a higher fish abundance. The increasing number of live specimens significantly impacts the availability of food, indicated by the development of more living coral polyps [20]. The high species diversity and fish abundance in the reef ecosystem have been associated with significant variations in the habitat or the presence of assorted niches [31].…”
