1. Este artículo ha sido concebido unitariamente por sus autoras pero su elaboración se ha dividido en dos partes. La primera parte del trabajo (epígrafes 1 y 2) ha sido elaborada por Dianella Gambini. La segunda parte (epígrafes 3 y 4) corre a cargo de Sabina Fontana. ResumenEl propósito de este artículo es mostrar cómo la figura del intérprete de lengua de signos (LS) y la interpretación lengua vocal (LV) w lengua de signos (LS) han evolucionado en la época contemporánea sobre la base de dos factores: 1) el cambio de la situación sociocultural y sociolingüística de la comunidad sorda debido al reconocimiento de la lingüisticidad de la LS y a la dignidad y prestigio que la misma ha adquirido penetrando en contextos antes inaccesibles, gracias a la labor de los intérpretes; 2) las teorías lingüístico-traductivas de la segunda mitad del siglo XX que han demolido la aproximación traslativa tradicional (intérprete caritativo, asistencial) y han llevado a la elaboración y aplicación de nuevos modelos del proceso de interpretación de LS. Debido a la investigación lingüística y traductológica, se ha producido una creciente comprensión del funcionamiento de las LS: esto ha obligado a una constante reconsideración del papel del intérprete de LS y del servicio de interpretación que los usuarios requieren. Las autoras abordan el tema desde una óptica diacrónica y comparativa, partiendo de la realidad sociolingüística italiana y ampliando el análisis a la de otros países europeos. AbstractThis article aims to show how the sign language interpreter and the interpreting of spoken to signed language (and vice versa) have evolved in the contemporary era on the basis of two factors: 1) the change in the sociocultural and sociolinguistic situation of the deaf community, as a result of the recognition that SL is a language just like any other, and due to the dignity and prestige which it has acquired in contexts which were formerly inaccessible, thanks to the work of interpreters; 2) the linguistictranslational theories of the second half of the twentieh century, which have destroyed the traditional approach to interpreting ("charitable" interpreter or helper when providing service), and which have brought about the development and application of new models in the process of interpreting of SL. As a result of research in linguistics and translation studies, there is a growing awareness of the ways in which sign languages work: what is now required is a rethinking both of the role of the interpreter and of the professional interpreting services requested by users. The authors approach the topic from a diachronic and comparative perspective, starting from the sociolinguistic context of Italy, and taking into account that of other European countries. The debate on the state of the art of philosophy in Italy shows many differences from the three main currents of contemporary philosophy, namely deconstructionism, critical theory, and analytic philosophy. On one hand, the philosophical stance towards language, and on the other hand, the strong separation between science and philosophy are the distinctive features of the Italian thought. In particular, philosophy of language shows a fragmented framework in which current researches are an example for future studies on language and human nature.The basic idea behind the Philosophy of Language in Italy is that language has a biological and social nature. The aim of this paper is to give an account of the range of "bio" through a dialogue between philosophy and neuroscience. I will review the Italian research on mirror neurons with particular attention to the developments in embodied simulation proposed by Vittorio Gallese. I will underline the philosophical aspects of this neuroscientific theory, providing some remarks on intersubjectivity, intentions, and language. Finally, I will suggest future joint studies in neuroscience and the philosophy of language.
