High‐frequency unilateral thalamic stimulation in the treatment of essential and parkinsonian tremor

Abstract: Pharmacologic treatment for essential tremor and the tremor of Parkinson's disease is often inadequate. Stereotaxic surgery, such as thalamotomy, can effectively reduce tremors.
