Hemşi̇reli̇k Öğrenci̇leri̇ni̇n Hasta Güvenli̇ği̇ Konusundaki̇ Bi̇lgi̇ Düzeyleri̇

Abstract

ÖZ Giriş: Bu çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hasta güvenliği konusunda bilgi düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini bir üniversitenin hemşirelik bölümünde öğrenim gören ikinci, üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Örneklem seçiminde evrenin tamamına ulaşılması hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma sonunda evrenin %79'una ulaşılarak 551 öğrenci ile çalışma tamamlanmıştır. Veriler anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Etik kurul onayı, kurum izni ve bireylerden yazılı olur alınmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin çoğunun (% 77.3) hasta güvenliği konusunda yetersiz düzeyde bilgi sahibi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tıbbi hataları önlemeye yönelik uygulamalar (%59.7) ve hata ile karşılaşıldığında izlenmesi gereken yol konusunda (%44.8) çoğunun bir görüşü olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmaya katılanların %89.3' ünün hasta güvenliğine ait riskleri belirleme, planlama, uygulama ve değerlendirmenin hemşirelik rolü olduğunu ifade etmelerine rağmen, sadece % 24.7' sinin oluşturulmuş hasta güvenliği uygulamalarına destek olmayı hasta güvenliğinde hemşirelik rolü olarak gördüğü belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak öğrencilerin çoğunun hasta güvenliğinde hemşirenin rolleri, tıbbi hataları önlemeye yönelik uygulamalar ve tıbbi hata ile karşılaşıldığında izlenmesi gereken yol konularında bilgilerinin yetersiz olduğu belirlenmiştir.Anahtar kelimeler: Hasta güvenliği, hemşirelik öğrencileri, tıbbi hatalar ABSTRACT Introduction: This study was conducted to determine the knowledge level of nursing students about patient safety. Materials and Methods: The universe of the study consisted of second, third and fourth grade students studying in the nursing department of a university. In the sample selection, it is aimed to reach the whole universe. At the end of the study, 79% of the universe was reached and the study was completed with 551 students. Data were collected by questionnaire form. Ethics committee approval, institutional permission and written consent of individuals were obtained. Results: It was determined that most of the students (77.3%) had insufficient knowledge about patient safety. It was found that most of them did not have any opinion about the practices to prevent medical errors (59.7%) and the way to be followed when errors were encountered (44.8%). Although 89.3% of the participants stated that planning, implementing, and evaluating the risks related to patient safety had a nursing role, only 24.7% of them considered supporting the established patient safety practices as nursing role in patient safety. Conclusion: As a result, it was determined that most of the students had insufficient knowledge about the roles of the nurse in patient safety, applications to prevent medical errors and the way to be followed when medical errors were encountered.
