Health Monitoring and Diagnosis of Equipment Based on Multi-sensor Fusion

Abstract: Abstract-As the information measured by a single sensor cannot reflect the real situation of mechanical devices completely, a multi-sensor data fusion based on evidence theory is introduced. Evidence theory has the advantage of dealing with uncertain information. However, it produces unreasonable conclusions when the evidence conflicts. An improved fusion method is proposed to solve this problem. Basic probability assignment of evidence is corrected according to evidence and sensor weights, and an optimal fusi… Show more

“…MD is a metrics that represents the similarity between sample and group, which overcomes the scale problem and correlation influence in Euclidean distance using inverse covariance matrix. 28 The greater the MD, the higher the similarity of the sample, and the better the relative quality in group. 29 For the sample x with n data, the MD can highdimensionally generalize the deviation of x and the group y nm , which has m samples of n data.…”

“…In this situation, periodic health monitoring, or preventative care, allows people to discover and treat health problems early before they have consequences. Particularly, for risk patients and long-term applications, such a strategy exhibits more freedom, comfort, and opportunities in clinical monitoring [16][17][18][19].…”
