“…Bearing in mind that the levels are complementary, it seems that both are needed to better explain the impact of the school system on the life satisfaction of children and adolescents. This reinforces the findings on the association between socio‐community variables and well‐being (Castellá Sarriera & Bedin, 2016), which in turn supports the contributions made by community psychology to the study of well‐being and life satisfaction in childhood and adolescence (Guzmán et al, 2019). This includes studying the variables connected to the sense of belonging and integration in the community and its effects on life satisfaction for children and adolescents (Castellá Sarriera & Bedin, 2016; Oyarzún et al, 2019).…”

“…This shows the importance of hearing children themselves, respecting their citizenship rights, and understanding their lives from their own point of view, as their perceptions may be different than those reported by other sources (Ben-Arieh, McDonell, & Attar-Schwartz, 2009). An ecological approach can make it possible to develop and plan well-being community-based interventions taking children into account (Sarriera & Bedin, 2016).…”

“…The low average of safety perception may be an indicator that children's fundamental rights are not being taken into account, particularly considering the area where they live in. The importance of the surroundings of children's residence place, the presence of safe, quiet, calm, and clean places for children to play are important as they allow children to play in the streets and have physical activities, as well as to establish healthy relationships with friends and neighbors (Sarriera & Bedin, 2016).…”
