“…The scalogram technique was thus used as a method of item selection, and items were discarded if the individual item reproducibilities proved to be low. An IBM adaptation of Guttman's scalogram technique, similar to that described by Kahn and Bodine (7), was used in the analyses. The results indicated extremely low levels of reproducibility when all 14 of the original items were considered.…”
