“…It will present the origins of SoTL and offer a definition that sets SoTL apart from good teaching, scholarly teaching, and, to the extent possible, research in undergraduate mathematics education. It will provide a taxonomy of SoTL questions and several examples of SoTL investigations involving one or both of the authors that have been made public in ways that range from presentations at various conferences to an article that has appeared in this journal [16].
