Electronystagmographic examination of 12 patients with confirmed diagnosis of intracranial was carried out with a battery of tests. The Intracranial tumors most consistent finding in ten patients with cerebellopontine recess tumors was found with eye tracking and optokinetic tests. There was an alteration of the smooth pursuit eye movement, mainly by saccades. Diminution of optokinetic response was found to the side of the tumor (moving target towards unaffected side). Two patients with temporo-parietal tumors showed eye tracking with saccades and optokinetic response abolished or diminished to the contralateral side of the tumor (moving target towards the side of the lesion). Electronystagmography is a safe and simple procedure with definite diagnostic significance in intracranial tumors.
