Graphene Ink Film Based Electrochemical Detector for Paracetamol Analysis

Abstract: Graphene ink is a commercialized product in the graphene industry with promising potential application in electronic device design. However, the limitation of the graphene ink is its low electronic performance due to the ink preparation protocol. In this work, we proposed a simple post-treatment of graphene ink coating via electrochemical oxidation. The electronic conductivity of the graphene ink coating was enhanced as expected after the treatment. The proposed electrochemical oxidation treatment also exposes… Show more

“…The determination of paracetamol by the differential pulse voltammetry in this study is compared with other methods described in literature such as square wave voltammetry (SWV) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) ( Table 2). Although these last two methods offer interesting results with modified electrodes [35]- [45],…”

“…However, most QDs lack biocompatibility due to their intrinsic cytotoxicity [14,15]. In recent years, the use of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) has spread in life sciences applications [16][17][18]. GQDs are two-dimensional materials based on graphene; they are structured as a single-atom-thick sheet of honeycomb-arranged, sp2-bonded carbon atoms and they have great electronic properties [19][20][21].…”

“…Therefore, the selection of the solvent in extraction processes has a significant impact on the efficacy of the extraction. The target should be highly soluble in the selected solvent, while other non-target components should be slightly or insoluble in the extraction solvent [57][58][59][60][61][62]. Because polyphenols have a polyphenol hydroxyl group, making them somewhat polar, they can be extracted by hydrophilic solvents such as water, ethanol, methanol and acetone.…”
