Show more

“…However, cultivated pastures have occupied an ever-increasing space in the Brazilian scenario [1]. The perennial soybean (Neonotonia wightii) adapts Likewise, the cementing or adhesive material must meet some criteria to be used in the process, such as having affinity with the other ingredients; being readily soluble in water; acting at low concentrations; becoming dry and not sticky when dehydrated; forming a low-viscosity solution when rehydrated; and not being hygroscopic, corrosive, or toxic [3]. These materials are usually organic polymers, starches, natural resins, sugars, animal-derived glues, and vegetable mucilages, which can be dispersed in water for the production of a sprayable fluid [9].…”

“…The difference in seed weight is possibly related to the difference of granulometry of the materials used, as the fertilizer has a higher particle size in relation to sand and limestone. Some authors are unanimous in saying that one of the advantages of the coating process is the increase of the size of the seeds, in order to facilitate manual and mechanical seeding (Nascimento et al, 2009). The coated seeds showed lower water content than the non-coated seeds ( Figure 1A).…”
