“…Although these enzymes do not directly hydrolyze AHLs, this modification process reshapes the structure of AHL molecules, thus affecting their binding with cognate receptors and blocking the QS system. However, there are few reports about AHL oxidoreductases, and most of them are limited to the discovery of new enzymes such as CYP102A5 (Waheed et al., 2022) and NADH‐dependent enzyme BpiB09 (Bijtenhoorn et al., 2011), whose overexpression reduced the QS‐regulated pathogenicity of P. aeruginosa .
