Fuzzy logic method of valuation supporting sustainable development of the agricultural land market

Abstract: This article proposes the possibility of applying fuzzy logic theory to perform the tasks of determining the market value of agricultural lands. These tasks are of a multi-criteria character, as multiple factors are taken into consideration during the land value valuation process. The market value of agricultural land plots, calculated using fuzzy logic methods, can provide a basis for further use in the processes that are directly related to their turnover, that is, during auctioning, setting of a land tax, d… Show more

“…There is plenty of sustainability assessment tools and various frameworks advanced to back up policy‐making in achieving agricultural sustainability (Kasem & Thapa, 2012; Marchand et al, 2014; Talukder, Hipel, & van Loon, 2018; Zahm, Viaux, Vilain, Girardin, & Mouchet, 2008; Zrobek, Kovalyshyn, Renigier‐Biłozor, Kovalyshyn, & Kovalyshyn, 2020). However, there is the lack of holistic indicators system that allows assessment of agricultural sustainability in different countries.…”

“…However, although in the literature, some efforts used different methods to evaluate green growth efficiency and indicators. However, a few previous studies employed the Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and fuzzy sets theory to assess green growth indicators (Su, Zhang, Zhang, & Streimikiene, 2020; Zeng, Hu, Balezentis, & Streimikiene, 2020; Zrobek, Kovalyshyn, Renigier‐Biłozor, Kovalyshyn, & Kovalyshyn, 2020). Particularly, there is no study in the current body of the literature regarding the application of fuzzy sets and MCDM methods in the field of green growth.…”

“…ANP is used to solve system problems with a feedback mechanism in villages [ 116 , 143 , 162 , 169 ]. The fuzzy method is used to solve the dilemma that a clear mathematical model cannot be established in the whole process of MCDA or in a certain link, so is often combined with other MCDA methods [ 75 , 102 , 104 , 106 ]. DEA is used to assess the characteristics or influencing factors of tourism development by calculating the ratio between inputs and outputs [ 133 , 137 , 141 ].…”
