Today's graduating students face ever-changing environments when they enter their job life. Educational institutions must therefore continuously develop their course structure and content in order to prepare their students to be future employees. A very important means for developing the courses is the students' course evaluations. Due to financial and organizational restrictions, these course evaluations are usually carried out quantitatively and at the end of the semester. However, past research has shown that this kind of evaluation faces certain constraints such as low acceptance rates, only time-related insights and low-quality answers that do not really help the lecturer to improve the course. Drawing on social response theory, we propose that conversational agents as a formative course evaluation tool are able to address the mentioned problems by interactively engaging with students. Therefore, we propose a set of design principles and evaluate them with our prototype Eva.

Die Digitalisierung führt zu neuen Anforderungen an Fähigkeiten und Kenntnissen, die Studierende in ihrem zukünftigen Berufsleben benötigen. Metakognitive Lernkompetenzen und Higher Order Thinking Skills werden dabei immer wichtiger, um Herausforderungen der Zukunft zu lösen. Eine Unterklasse dieser Fähigkeiten, die wesentlich zu Kommunikation, Kollaboration und Problemlösung beiträgt, ist die Fähigkeit, strukturiert und reflektierend zu argumentieren. Bildungseinrichtungen haben jedoch Schwierigkeiten, die für die Entwicklung dieser Fähigkeit notwendigen Rahmenbedingungen zu schaffen. In diesem Paper stellen wir unser Design Science Research Projekt vor, in dem wir ein Lerntool entwickeln, dass es ermöglicht, Studierende durch intelligentes Feedback beim Erlernen von Argumentation zu unterstützen. Wir präsentieren dazu acht Designprinzipien, abgeleitet aus aktueller Literatur und aus 21 Nutzerinterviews, sowie einen evaluierten Prototyen als eine Form der Instanziierung dieser Prinzipien. Ziel unseres Forschungsprojektes ist es, ein Lerntool zu entwickeln, das Studierenden hilft, ihre Argumentationsfähigkeit durch individuelles Feedback zu verbessern.

In this paper, we analyze internal crowd work as Neo-STS from an employee's perspective. Based on qualitative interviews, we describe in our model how employees perceive empowerment through participation in internal crowd work. As our main contribution, we detail and extend existing research regarding internal crowd work, Neo-STS as well as empowerment by identifying structural antecedents that affect psychological empowerment of internal crowd workers.
