The quenching of cluster satellite galaxies is inextricably linked to the suppression of their cold interstellar medium (ISM) by environmental mechanisms. While the removal of neutral atomic hydrogen (H i) at large radii is well studied, how the environment impacts the remaining gas in the centres of galaxies, which are dominated by molecular gas, is less clear. Using new observations from the Virgo Environment traced in CO survey (VERTICO) and archival H i data, we study the H i and molecular gas within the optical discs of Virgo cluster galaxies on 1.2-kpc scales with spatially resolved scaling relations between stellar ( $\Sigma_{\star}$ ), H i ( $\Sigma_{\text{H}\,{\small\text{I}}}$ ), and molecular gas ( $\Sigma_{\text{mol}}$ ) surface densities. Adopting H i deficiency as a measure of environmental impact, we find evidence that, in addition to removing the H i at large radii, the cluster processes also lower the average $\Sigma_{\text{H}\,{\small\text{I}}}$ of the remaining gas even in the central $1.2\,$ kpc. The impact on molecular gas is comparatively weaker than on the H i, and we show that the lower $\Sigma_{\text{mol}}$ gas is removed first. In the most H i-deficient galaxies, however, we find evidence that environmental processes reduce the typical $\Sigma_{\text{mol}}$ of the remaining gas by nearly a factor of 3. We find no evidence for environment-driven elevation of $\Sigma_{\text{H}\,{\small\text{I}}}$ or $\Sigma_{\text{mol}}$ in H i-deficient galaxies. Using the ratio of $\Sigma_{\text{mol}}$ -to- $\Sigma_{\text{H}\,{\small\text{I}}}$ in individual regions, we show that changes in the ISM physical conditions, estimated using the total gas surface density and midplane hydrostatic pressure, cannot explain the observed reduction in molecular gas content. Instead, we suggest that direct stripping of the molecular gas is required to explain our results.

Perubahan gaya hidup dan pola makan menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya gangguan saluran pencernaan. Gangguan pencernaan yang paling banyak diderita adalah dispepsia. Dalam hal ini banyak faktor risiko yang menyebabkan terjadinya kekambuhan dispepsia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran karakteristik pasien dan penggunaan obat dispepsia di klinik A daerah Bekasi Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode cross sectional dengan metode pengambilan data secara retrospektif melalui rekam medik pasien. Pemilihan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling dimana terdapat 200 sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Karakteristik pasien dispepsia di Klinik A Daerah Bekasi Timur yang dominan adalah berjenis kelamin perempuan (60%), berada pada rentang umur ≥ 56 tahun (27,5%), tanpa ada penyakit penyerta (76,5%), jenis penyakit penyerta hipertensi (46,42%), frekuensi kedatangan pasien 1 kali (64,5%), dan penggunaan obat dispepsia dengan 3 kombinasi (57%). Dari hasil uji statistik dihasilkan pernyataan bahwa jenis kelamin, umur tidak mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna dengan frekuensi dispepsia (p > 0,05). Penyakit penyerta mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna dengan frekuensi dispepsia (p < 0,05). Jenis kelamin, umur, penyakit penyerta tidak mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna dengan penggunaan obat dispepsia (p > 0,05). Frekuensi dispepsia mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna dengan obat dispepsia (p < 0,05).

Stool Antigen (Hpsa) Test in Detection of Helicobacter Pylori Infection Among Adult Dyspeptic Patients in Tripoli, Libya

Background. Helicobacter pylori is the most common infection in the world. Relationship between H. pylori and dyspepsia was confirmed by many studies, it has been strongly associated with peptic ulcer disease and gastric cancer. In that respect, several invasive and noninvasive methods for the diagnosis of H. pylori infection were utilized. Objective. The aim of the study was to evaluate the association between dyspepsia and the positivity of H. pylori stool antigen test, to compare this test with serological IgG test. Methods. 125 adult patients were randomly selected from gastroenterology units of Mediterranean and Tajurah clinics in Tripoli. Stool samples were taken for detection of H. pylori antigen by enzyme immunoassay. Blood samples for detection of anti-H. pylori IgG antibodies were taken. Data were statistically analyzed using SPSS. Results. 125 dyspeptic patients: 47 male and 78 female, aged 18-83 years old were examined. 80 patients were infected by H. pylori that was proved by a positive stool test, 88 had a positive IgG test. The prevalence was higher in the patients aged 28-47 years old. There was substantial relation to age, marital status and economic risk factors; there was no association between H. pylori and gender, sources of drinking water, living standards, smoking, family history of peptic ulcer, drug consumption, and blood groups. Conclusions. Relatively high rates of detection by HpSA prove that stool testing might be a reliable, simple, inexpensive, and non-invasive alternative test ащк detectшщт of H. pylori, diagnosing active infection and confirming cure. However IgG test has a low sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy compare to the HpSA test. Thus it can be used for screening purposes.
