Flexible Wi-Fi Communication among Mobile Robots in Indoor Industrial Environments

Abstract: In order to speed up industrial processes and to improve logistics, mobile robots are getting important in industry. In this paper, we propose a flexible and configurable architecture for the mobile node that is able to operate in different network topology scenarios. The proposed solution is able to operate in presence of network infrastructure, in ad hoc mode only, or to use both possibilities. In case of mixed architecture, mesh capabilities will enable coverage problem detection and overcoming. The solutio… Show more

“…For chaotic and Walsh Hadamard code the whole utility intended for 50 users is compared in Figure 6. Also, it is determined that, applying chaotic code yields around 10.5x10 6 for a period of 64 bits, whereas Walsh code of same period yields 10x10 6 values. This shows through the usage of chaotic sequence, within the total application improvement of 5 percent has been done.…”

“…To be capable of help to one user, the multi carrier broadcast approach is used through a MC‐CDMA method 1–5 . As wireless communication scheme requires extensive BW (bandwidth), the grouping of CDMA (in terms of rate of recurrence and time domain) has recently paying more attention awareness in Wi‐Fi communication, 6 thus affording a competent methodology to decrease the chip rate and the duration of spreading code.…”

“…Therefore, there is a need for networks with high levels reliability and low latency in order to provide a robust network with high rates (i.e.,throughput) to address the mentioned problems. In [6], [7], in order to achieve 100mm path accuracy, it is demanded for an overall latency of 50 ms, including the processing latency. Considering that VLC access points (LAPs) have a limited transmission range and there is a high demand for VLC transceivers to stay aligned in order to maintain the connectivity, a highly dense LAP grid is required to provide a seamless coverage in an indoor environment.…”
