Penelitian ini berawal dari keprihatinan penulis akan tontonan anak-anak pada masa kini. Seiring berjalannya waktu mereka mengonsumsi tontonan edukasi yang semakin sedikit. Dengan ragam tontonan tersebut, anak-anak kini mulai melupakan kebudayaan mereka, dongeng. Dongeng merupakan salah satu kekayaan budaya dan historis dari bangsa Indonesia. Sebagai sebuah media hiburan, seharusnya tersematkan sebuah pesan Pendidikan moral yang dapat disampaikan kepada generasi mendatang dari negeri ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan media pendidikan budaya dengan menggunakan dongeng berupa film animasi untuk menarik lebih banyak perhatian anak-anak. Penyajian dongeng melalui film animasi adalah media yang paling disukai anak-anak sehingga penyampaiannya akan lebih mudah untuk diterima. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan sejarah yang menggunakan kejadian masa lampau sebagai sumber data dengan berlatar belakang Jawa pada abad ke-9. Untuk bagian desainnya, animasi yang dimaksud dalam hal ini adalah dalam bentuk film animasi 2-D dengan menggunakan Bahasa setempat, yaitu Bahasa Jawa. This research was initiated by the author’s concern for the spectacle of children today. At times, they watch fewer educational shows. With all these spectacles, today‘s children have also begun to forget their own culture, folklore. Folklore is one of the cultural and historical treasures of the Indonesian nation. As an entertainment medium, there should be a moral education message that can be delivered to the next generation of this nation. This research aims to create a cultural education media using folklore with animated films to attract more attention from children. The form of presenting folklore through animated films is a medium favored by children so that the delivery is more readily accepted. The method used in this research is a historical approach that uses past events as a source of data by taking the background in Java in the 9th-century era. For the design, this animation is in the form of a 2D animated film using the local language, namely Javanese.

In general, every human being must face problems and trials of life. There are various kinds of problems that come in life, do not know when, where and how these problems come. In dealing with problems, humans have their own ways to overcome these problems. There are those who give up easily and some who can overcome them. In this case the role of emotional intelligence is very important. Especially at the age of adolescence sometimes difficult to control emotions in themselves, resulting in a sense of hopelessness. Therefore, it is necessary to design a media that can be used to socialize the importance of emotional intelligence in adolescent life. The results showed that the concept that was appropriately used to socialize the importance of emotional intelligence in adolescents' lives was the concept of "Emotional Spirit". This concept was chosen to fit the objectives of this socialization as well as the intended target of youth. This 3D animated story was taken based on the true story of a teenager who was able to survive for 49 days in the middle of the ocean. In order for the socialization to run effectively, supporting media such as social media, posters, packaging, t-shirts, roll-up banners, stickers, tote bags and key chains are made. Through the design of the socialization media in the form of 3D animation along with its supporting media, it is expected that the target audience, namely adolescents, can better control their emotions when facing problems.

Balinese society is affluent in oral literature, among which there are satua or Balinese folk tales. Recently, it has been felt that the Masatua tradition has declined dramatically. The increasingly busy level of parents causes this. Entertainment on social media has defeated oral traditions. This research aims to analyze the function and value of the Death of Kedis Cangak for Its Greedy. This study uses a qualitative method. The data collection method for this research is the observation method using reading and note-taking techniques. The research results were analyzed using analytical descriptive methods and presented using informal processes. The research analysis uses the matching process. The research results show that the functions of the "Death of Kedis Cangak for Its Greedy" unit are entertainment, educational, and social sanctions or punishment functions. Values analysis, which focuses on religious values, found values such as tattwa (philosophy) and moral values (ethics). There is an entertainment function, an educational function, and a social sanction or punishment function. Values such as tattwa (philosophy) and moral values (ethics) are found in value analysis, which focuses on religious matters. Regarding philosophical issues, we found the application of the karma phala law, one of the Panca Sradha teachings. The law of karma befalls the character I Kedis Cangak. The value of morals is also reflected in the behavior of the main character, which is contrary to the teachings of morals.
