Abstract: IntroductionThe faunal remains from the original excavations were studied by Frederic Fraser and Judith King of the then Department of Zoology, British Museum (Natural History), and the bird bones were identified by Marjorie Platt of the Royal Scottish Museum, Edinburgh.
