Fatores de risco e incidência de Pneumonia Hospitalar em Unidade de Internação

Abstract: Introdução: Para o desenvolvimento de pneumonia hospitalar (PH), há a necessidade de que os patógenos alcancem o trato respiratório inferior e sejam capazes de vencer os mecanismos de defesa do sistema respiratório, que incluem os mecânicos (reflexo glótico e da tosse, e sistema de transporte muco ciliar), humorais (anticorpos e complemento), e celulares (leucócitos polimorfos nucleares, macrófagos e linfócitos).
