Fast and sensitive simultaneous determination of antihypertensive drugs amlodipine besylate and ramipril using an electrochemical method: application to pharmaceuticals and blood serum samples

Abstract: In this work, a simple and sensitive voltammetric method using boron-doped diamond electrode for simultaneous determination of antihypertensive drugs amlodipine besylate and ramipril in pharmaceuticals and biological samples is described.

“…28 Two peaks appear at 32°and 57°can be well indexed to (100) and ( 110 I, this value is comparable to the values declared in some previous papers for AML electrochemical oxidation at the surface of different chemically modified electrodes. 18,[41][42][43][44][45] Figure 3 shows the cyclic voltammograms obtained in a 200.0 μM AML solution (voltammogram a with an unmodified SPCE and voltammogram b with the MoS 2 NSs-G/SPCE). The highest oxidation peak potential of AML has been observed at 620 mV for MoS 2 NSs-G/SPCE, which 120 mV more negative in comparison with the signal corresponding to the unmodified SPCE.…”

“…The literature survey reveals that the determination of Ramipril was done by spectrophotometric methods, [4][5][6][7] HPLC, [8][9][10][11] HPTLC, and electrochemical methods [12][13] . On the other side, Hydrochlorothiazide was determined individually by UV spectroscopy [14][15][16][17] HPLC, 18 HPTLC, [19][20][21] and electrochemical methods.…”
