The 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data highlights the prevalent issue of Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) among pregnant women. This prospective cohort study investigates the correlation between energy, protein, and fat intake in pregnant women and their infants' birth weight and length. Utilizing purposive sampling, third-trimester pregnant women were interviewed through questionnaires and food recall tables. Data processing involved editing, entering, and tabulating, with correlation analysis revealing that inadequate energy intake (61%) and protein intake (51.2%) were typical. Fat intake, predominantly sufficient (87.8%), exhibited minimal inadequacy (5%). Although energy intake influenced body weight, it did not impact birth length. Protein intake affected body length but not body weight, while fat intake influenced body weight without affecting birth length. Notably, most infants exhibited average birth weight (95.1%) and regular body length (95.1%).

Introduction: Neonatal intensive care causes high maternal stress, and low interaction between mother and baby are suspected to be a stressor. The role of the mother needed to participate in neonatal care. However, mothers want to monitor the condition of neonates during treatment. This purpose of study to analyze the correlation between family center care, stress and maternal satisfaction in the Edelweiss (Perinatology) at RSD Balung Jember. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 124 post partum mothers whose babies were treated in the perinatology room with consecutive random sampling. Family center care, stress, and maternal satisfaction questionnaires were used. A Chi-square test was used to analyze to answer the research Results: The results among respondents had high levels of family centered care implementation (63.7%), low maternal stress (51.6%), and high levels of maternal satisfaction (58.1%). There is a correlation between between family centered care implementation with maternal stress (X2 = 8.14; p-value = 0.004), and stress with maternal satisfaction (X2 = 19.3; p-value = 0.00). Mothers with high levels of family centered care implementation will prevent 0.2 times experiencing stress (OR = 0.16; 95% CI = 0.07-0.38), and if maternal satisfaction is high then 3 times will tend to have low stress (OR = 2.89; 95% CI = 1.38-6.06). However, there isn’t correlation between family centered care implementation and satisfaction mother (X2 = 0.83; p-value = 0.36). Perhaps, maternal characteristics to be a factor. Conculusion: Family center care services can meet the needs of parents and improve the quality of nursing care in the perinatology room for babies, parents and families so as to increase satisfaction with the services provided.

The Impact of Dehydration in the Third Trimesters on Pregnancy Outcome-Infant Birth Weight and Length

This cohort study aimed to analyze the effect of dehydration on pregnancy outcome. A total of 66 pregnant women aged (18-35 years) at second trimester (>12 weeks) of pregnancy was recruited from seven health centers (Puskesmas) Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta from December 2016 to January 2018. Five biomarkers (urine color, urine osmolality, urine specific gravity, serum osmolality, serum sodium) were utilized to determine hydration status. Based on the result, subjects were then assigned to dehydration group (DG) and normal group (NG), 51.5% was in the DG and 48.5%, in the NG respectively. Independent t-tests and Chi-square were employed to answer research questions. There were differences in weight of the mothers in the second and third trimester between the two groups (p<0.05), but no differences in weight gain during pregnancy (p≥0.05). More than fifty percent of subjects suffered nausea and vomiting during pregnancy in the two groups. Water intake level in DG (72.53±14.41%) were lower than NG (118.68±14.37%). The accounted difference in Infant birth weight, length, chest circumference and head circumference; were 491.84 g, 0.98 cm, 0.98 cm, and 1.11 cm, respectively where infant from the NG had higher measurements than DG. After adjustment for water intake level, the infant birth weight and length in DG (2,798.53±97.85 g; 47.32±0.32 cm) was lower than NG (3,371.77±102.60 g; 49.09±0.33 cm). The aacounted difference in infant birth weight and length between the two groups were 596.1 g and 1.8 cm, respectively. Thus in addition to nutrient intake and weight gain during pregnancy, pregnant mothers should also concern for their fluid intake in order to maintain their health condition and feotal growth-development.
