Purpose: This study investigates the interrelationship among COVID-19 anxiety, mindfulness, COVID-19 information avoidance, preventive behavior, and academic performance. Research methodology: The study assessed protective factors as mediators of COVID-19 anxiety and academic performance using WarpPLS. The study participants were K-12 Filipino students from a secondary school in Cagayan, Philippines, identified through convenience sampling. Results: COVID-19 anxiety, mindfulness, information avoidance, and preventive behavior were found to be negatively correlated. Preventive behavior is associated with improved academic performance. Conversely, there was a negative correlation between mindfulness, COVID-19 information avoidance, and academic performance. The association between COVID-19 anxiety and academic achievement is only mediated by mindfulness and preventive behavior. Limitations: Preventive factors that may affect COVID-19 anxiety and academic achievement are only considered. Also, the participants are limited to a secondary school in Cagayan, Philippines. Contribution: With the pandemic having a substantial influence on the municipality, the study would be helpful to manage and control the effect of the outbreak on the academic performance of the learners. Purpose: The study aims at determining a new and complete picture of the ongoing online teaching-learning model based on the university student’s perception of online learning and university teachers’ experiences with their online teaching. Methodology: This study followed a mixed-method approach where both qualitative and quantitative methods are applied. In total 335 university students of both males and females are selected randomly using a questionnaire through Google format. Results: Online platform is the best option to save students from collapsing the academic world in the pandemic situation and so this study developed a new teaching and learning model analysing the practical situation of respondents. It is the main result of it. Limitations: We started this research in 2021 during the horrible COVID-19. Due to which we could not go to the field and collect the data, we have collected the data through the online platform. These are the major limitations of the study. Purpose: This study assesses Nigerian academic communities’ (NAC) knowledge, perception, and practices regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Research Methodology: Online snowball sampling technique with 5-point Likert scale online questionnaire was used to assess NAC knowledge, perception, and practices amidst coronavirus pandemic. About 368 participants comprised of academic and non-academic staff from north central geopolitical zone of Nigeria participated in the study. Responses were analysed using the SPSS. Result: NAC gathered, shared, and updated their knowledge about COVID-19 mostly through social media. Participants professed social media as the most effective platform for education and updates on COVID-19 compared to the conventional media and government sources. Despite that, participants were discovered to have slight issues in differentiating real news from fake ones. The participants reasonably practised precautionary measures as directed by the government and centre for disease control. Limitations: This study is limited to academic environment while COVID-19 affects all sundries and sectors of the economy respectively. Contribution: This study contributes to the knowledge and insight of COVID-19 among NAC and suggests means of managing the virus to avoid further spread. Keywords: 1. Coronavirus 2. COVID-19 3.
