This study aims to examine the effective leadership style and competence in improving the performance of millennial ASN (state civil apparatus) in the Semarang City government. The variables used in this study consisted of transformational leadership, servant leadership, ethical leadership, and competence in employee performance. The population in this study was all millennial state civil apparatus in the Semarang City government service, amounting to 2289 people. The sample used in this study was millennial employees (21-40 years old) from 51 regional work units totaling 200 people; the sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. The data were collected using the survey method through a questionnaire. This study employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) data analysis techniques utilizing the AMOS 24 program. The analysis results showed that 1) servant leadership and transformational leadership did not affect public service motivation and employee performance, 2) competence influenced employee performance with public service motivation as a mediating variable, and 3) ethical leadership influenced employee performance with public service motivation as a mediating variable.

Research on strengthening Industry Music in Indonesia has not been done much, even though the music industry has contributed a lot to the strengthening of creative industry organizations. For example, there has never been any strengthening through the role of organizational commitment as an intervening variable. As we know that the success of an organization is determined by the fulfillment of personal needs to always improve the performance of its employees, both through training and the availability of a supportive work environment, so this can lead to a sense of commitment to the organization. This study aims to examine the ability of organizational commitment variables as intervening variables to increase employee satisfaction if employees are satisfied it will improve performance. The methodology used in this study is to use a quantitative approach using techniques path analysis, the population used is all employees at the music equipment company. Based on the results of statistical analysis states that that job training can increase organizational commitment, the work environment can increase organizational commitment, job training influence increase work motivation, work environment affect increase work motivation, organizational commitment can increase work motivation, organizational commitment as a variable intervening gives an indirect effect which is lower than the direct effect on training on work motivation, as well as the effect of organizational commitment as a variable intervening on the work environment on work motivation. The overall results of the study can be stated that organizational commitment cannot be a variable intervening for training work towards work motivation.

Influence of Internal Marketing Dimensions on Organizational Commitment: An Empirical Application in Ecuadorian Co-Operativism

Internal marketing involves planning, implementing, and assessing strategies focused on the internal customer (employee), who, at the same time, looks to strengthen their organizational commitment. In this context, leaders and managers should focus on human capital through policies which encourage the motivation and satisfaction of employees, in a way that they feel committed to the institution which, at the same time, will help the achievement of organizational targets. Accordingly, the purpose of this research is to analyze internal marketing dimensions and their possible relationship with organizational commitment. To do so, fieldwork based on a research questionnaire has been developed, aimed at a very important area of the social economy: co-operativism in a developing country. A total of 2,499 surveys were distributed among employees, leaders, and managers of Ecuadorian cooperatives. To describe the possible mediating effect of the research variables, a hierarchical, multiple linear regression analysis was applied. The results reveal that the internal marketing dimensions present statistically significant correlations with the organizational commitment, with the internal communication dimension being its maximum relational exponent. It is also extracted from the study that sociodemographic and works position variables positively influence the relationship between both constructs, presenting higher relational levels when the employee is married, has higher studies and their work contract is temporary.
