Evolution of technology and users requirements of factorycommunication systems from the 3rd to the 4th Industrial Revolution

Abstract: Abstract-The last 40 to 50 years' history of factory automation based on electronics and computer technology had given experiences on successes and failures. The author's personal carrier has touched several areas of technology and networking aspects of this progress domain. Telecommunication networking for industrial cyber-physical systems, IIoT and the automotive sectors are investigated.
