Evaluating Medical College Lib Guides: A Usability Case Study

Introduction: Anger is a strong emotional response to deprivation and provocation. It is an emotion that is often created by the discrepancy between our expectations and reality. For medical professionals, it is very necessary to manage their anger because they have to deal with patients of diverse manners. The current study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practices of medical students regarding anger from an Islamic perspective. Methods: the current study enrolled medical students who were enrolled in different grades in medical schools. Moreover, after the informed consent, each student was asked to fill out the self-designed questionnaire. The data was statistically analysed by SPSS. Results: The study population comprised 277 subjects, including females and males. Among all participants in the current study, females (147, 53.1%) are more common than males. The highest and lowest numbers of students are enrolled in the 1st year of MBBS (74, 26.7%) and the final year of MBBS (1, 0.4%), respectively. Moreover, personal behaviour after getting angered was asked, like do you leave the scene (said Yes, 123, 44.4%) or seek refuge with Allah (said Yes, 92, 33.2%) from shaitan or taking ablution (said No, 54, 19.5%). The p-value is less than 0.05 for the questions asked as anger is satanic teaching or motivation (p=0.004), or Islam has refrained us from anger (p=0.000), and anger results in an increased crime rate (p=0.000). Similarly, the p-value is less than 0.05 in the case of questions like do you get irritated soon (p=0.002) and when did you get angry (p=0.001). Conclusion: It is concluded that young medical students are more aggressive, and they have less ability to manage their aggressiveness. Medical Students Expectations, Experiences and Use of E Learning Resources in Higher Education

Introduction: E-learning, defined here as ‘any learning that uses information and communication technologies is seen as one way to support the advancement of healthcare experts. The adaptability and availability of such modes of delivery are seen globally as advertising opportunities to meet key instruction plans counting lifelong learning and extending participation. Technology-enhanced learning in healthcare education ranges instructive to constructivist approaches. The student constructs new information through investigation of information and reference to involvement and understanding. Objective: To study the expectation and experiences of medical students regarding use of e-learning resources in higher education Study Design: Quantitative cross sectional Settings: Bakhtawar Ameen medical & dental college, Multan Duration: Six months i.e. 1st January 2022 to 30th June 2022 Data Collection Procedure: A pre validated questionnaire was used. Study was carried out at Bakhtawar Ameen medical & dental college, Multan. The total numbers of students were 300 who participated after taking the informed consent. The study was done by simple random sampling technique. All the medical undergraduate students of first to final years must be aged between 20-30 years age. Questionnaire consists of demographic profile, expectation and experiences of medical students regarding use of e-learning resources in higher education Results: The total number of patients who participated in the study was 300 in which 140 (46%) were males and 160 (54%) were females. The undergraduate’s student’s age is in between 20-30 years. On inquiring about student’s expectations and experiences about e learning all the parameters were rated high about e learning which shows the significance of study and p value is <0.1 Practical implication Conclusion: In our study two viewpoints contribute strongly to learning accomplishments and course fulfillment: students’ achievement objectives and the instructor. Students who considered gains in competencies are very special and hence experienced higher achievements. Besides, the results of our study emphasize the instructor’s expertise and part as a counselor and facilitator in learning. Information Providing in COVID-19 by Health Professionals in Pakistan

Purpose: This study analyses the impact on postgraduate students' educational activity at an Allied Health Sciences institute in Pakistan as well as the information distribution during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology: The current quantitative analysis is based on a survey that was conducted among postgraduate allied health science students in various universities in Lahore, Pakistan, to evaluate the efficacy of information distribution during the Covid-19 pandemic. Finding: The response rate of the study remained 80%. Majority of users, Approximately 69.5% (n=66) of students said they had no trouble getting information during COVID-19, whereas 30.5% (n=29) of students said the information was subpar. Respondents of the study found highly satisfied with the efficiency of library on providing e-services during Covid-19 (P-Value = 0.487). usability of libraries in information dissemination which 74 (78%) respondents said that libraries offer access to trustworthy and reliable Covid-19 pandemic information through a variety of media There is consensus among 75 (or 79%) of the students on the importance of raising awareness and educating people on how to contain the Covid-19 outbreak, as well as the difficulties libraries face in disseminating information. 77 (81%) students said they lack the knowledge and abilities necessary to effectively use the tools and services available on the Internet. The recommendations of the study might be beneficial to enhance the effectiveness of resources and services of universities libraries.
