Mendong (Fimbristylis globusa) is a grass plant that morphologically looks similar to rice and is used for a variety of handicrafts. Handicrafts from mendong plants are often found in Blayu Village, Wajak District. The purpose of this research is to get information related to the utilization of mendong plant (Fimbristylis globusa). The type of research used is descriptive exploratory through survey and interview method. The community in Wajak District, specifically Blayu Village, Meduran and Bebekan Sub-village utilize mendong plants (Fimbristylis globusa) as handicrafts such as mats and ropes.

Studi ini bertujuan untuk lebih memahami keberadaan ekonomi kreatif sebagai strategi yang diprediksi mampu memicu daya saing baik dalam skala nasional maupun dalam kancah internasional dalam rangka menghadapi pasar modern. Hingga saat ini, pengangguran kemiskinan, eksploitasi alam besar-besaran yang pada akhirnya menyebabkan ketimpangan baik dari segi sosial maupun pertumbuhan ekonomi masih menjadi persoalan klasik yang memerlukan solusi. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya keselarasan dalam mendapatkan solusi tersebut, salah satu dengan harmonisasi ekonomi dan kearifan lokal yang tentu saja dapat memicu daya saing ekonomi, meningkatkan produktifitas yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat dengan tetap mempertahankan budaya, adat istiadat yang menjadi karakter khas yang ditinjau dari perspektif ekonomi Islam.studi ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptifkualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi, interview, dan analisis datata, sebagai sample peneliti mengambil realita pengembangan ekonomi kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal pandanus handicraft dalam menghadapi pasar modern dalam perspektif ekonomi syariah di CV Pandanus Nusa Sambisari Yogyakarta. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwasanya handycraft memiliki efek multyplier terhadap masyarakat, karena anyaman pandan telah berkontribusi menggerakan sektor perdagangan jasa dan pertanian. Serta mampu mengembalikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal masyarakat baik dari sisi Integrasi sektor ekonomi maupun integrasi bidang sosial yang meliputi ukhuwah islamiyah, dan terciptanya solidartas sosial.

The research entitled Ethnobotanical study of Pandanaceae by the Besemah tribe in Lahat Regency, South Sumatra has been conducted form October 2018 to December 2019. The objective of the research were to inventory the species diversity of Pandanaceae and its traditional utilization by the local ethnic in the studied area. The research was conducted by using survey method and field work to collect plant samples. The basic data of ethnobotany was collected by using direct interview from respondents. The result showed that there were six (6) species of Pandanaceae such as; Pandanus lais Kurz, Pandanus helicopus Kurz, Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb. (two varieties; “large and small” size fragrant pandanus), Benstonea atrocarpa Griff, Benstonea affinis Kurz. and Freycinetia rigidifolia Hemsl. 71,4% of them were belonged to wild species and 28.8% were cultivated species. The trdaitional utilization of Pandanaceae was used for handycrafft (36.4%), building material (9,1%), medicinal & cosmetic ingredients, foodstuffs and customary materials (18.2% each). The Baeemah tribe was used leaves (75%) rather than other part of plant.
