“…Out of 30 plants reported (distributed over 22 families), Asteraceae, Fabaceae and Rutaceae were found to be the most represented families with the highest number of species (three species each) closely followed by Laminaceae (two species) and the remaining 18 families were represented by only one species each. The possible reason for some families of plants being used extensively can be explained by the fact that in the tropical regions there is a tendency for few families of flora to dominate the pharmacopoeia as suggested by Sharma et al (2012).
