“…Chile is a country where occurs frequent natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, and bushfire; National Commission for Resilience Against Disasters of Natural Origin-CREDEN, 2016), which have an impact in the general population and emergency workers. In recent years, the study of these potential traumatic events and their impact on mental health in the Chilean general population has been increasing (Briceño et al, 2013; Cova et al, 2013; Díaz et al, 2012; Espinoza et al, 2015; Fernandez et al, 2017; Garfin et al, 2014); however, few studies have focused on first responders, especially firefighters.
