Estimation of Cefditoren Pivoxil in Pharmaceutical Oral Solid Dosage form by Spectrophotometry

Abstract: Four new, simple, sensitive and reproducible spectrophotometric methods have been developed for the estimation of cefditoren pivoxil in tablet dosage form. Method A involves the determination of cefditoren pivoxil by Standard absorbance method at 230nm and the Beer's concentration range was found to be 5-50 µg/mL. Method B and Method C involve the determination of cefditoren pivoxil by first derivative spectrophotometry and second derivative spectrophotometry respectively. The normal spectrum was derivatized t… Show more

“…Thus, its pharmaceutical dosage form (Meiact® 200 mg/tablet) was subjected to the analysis of its CTP content by the proposed enhanced AgNP SIA‐CL method. The obtained results were presented in Table and statistically compared by Student's t ‐test and F ‐test with those obtained from the reported spectrophotometric method . The results did not reveal any significant difference between them at 95% confidence level proving similar accuracy and precision.…”

“…40 The reported melamine content in commercially available milk sample from the state Tamilnadu in India is 0.028−0.071 mg/ kg or in the range of 0.2−0.58 μM. 41 SHPPSI MS provides an easy and direct detection method of melamine in milk samples without having the sample processing step (Figure 6). The experiment was conducted by arbitrarily spiking a 5 nM (or 0.63 ppb) concentration of melamine in a melamine free milk sample, purchased from the local market.…”
