Application of silver nanoparticles to the chemiluminescence determination of cefditoren pivoxil using the luminol–ferricyanide system

Abstract: A new simple, accurate and sensitive sequential injection analysis chemiluminescence (CL) detection method for the determination of cefditoren pivoxil (CTP) has been developed. The developed method was based on the enhancement effect of silver nanoparticles on the CL signal arising from a luminol-potassium ferricyanide reaction in the presence of CTP. The optimum conditions relevant to the effect of luminol, potassium ferricyanide and silver nanoparticle concentrations were investigated. The proposed method sh… Show more

“…Several analytical techniques have been performed for the determination of cefditoren, including LC-MS techniques [2], voltammetrics [3], spectrophotometry [4][5][6], chemiluminescence [7], micellar liquid chromatography [8], high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) [5,[9][10][11][12][13], Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy [14], potentiometry using ion-selective electrodes [15], and thin-layer chromatography (TLC) [5]. Electrochemical techniques are significant for monitoring and sensing pharmaceuticals because of their specific properties such as a fast response, sensitivity, no pre-treatment, simplicity, low organic solvent consumption, and low cost versus traditional analysis methods [16].…”

“…At present, there are many reports for the determination of biomolecules, such as IgE , myoglobin , dopamine , C‐reactive protein , procaterol hydrochloride , cefditoren pivoxil , nicotinamide by using analytical methods. Quantification of albumin is clinically important, as it has been found to be an effective prognostic indicator.…”
