Entrepreneurship has been an economic tool for many governments, especially those facing unemployment challenges. Ghana is facing high unemployment among its youth. Various administrations have implemented policies, including the National Youth Employment Program and the YouStart Program, to solve the unemployment challenge. These initiatives, however, have yet to solve unemployment. This study examines the role of formal education in fostering entrepreneurship. Data were collected using a quantitative approach through a structured questionnaire survey administered to 140 entrepreneurs in Ghana’s Sunyani Municipality. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Correlational analysis was performed to examine the relationship between formal education and entrepreneurial performance. The study findings show that entrepreneurial-based education, not only formal education, helps graduates successfully establish and operate their own businesses. This contributes immensely to reducing unemployment. The results also reveal a weak positive correlation between formal education and entrepreneurial performance; however, the observed correlation was not statistically significant. Thus, formal education may influence entrepreneurial performance, but other variables may have a greater influence. The implications of these results highlight the importance of equipping students with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to help them succeed as entrepreneurs. This can boost economic growth and lower unemployment. The study's implications go beyond Ghana, as many nations struggle with unemployment. Findings form this research would drive policy-making and educational restructuring efforts to promote entrepreneurship and reduce global unemployment. The authors recommended modifying the existing educational curriculum to include more emphasis on entrepreneurship education, spanning from primary to higher education levels.

Entrepreneurial intention (EI) is regarded as one of the most important indicators of entrepreneurial activities and behaviors, including the process of launching a new enterprise. While research on entrepreneurial intention has increased globally in recent years, there has been little research on the entrepreneurial intentions of university students in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI). This study examines the factors influencing entrepreneurial intentions among university students in the KRI, concentrating on perceived desirability, perceived feasibility, and propensity to act. A survey involving 213 business students from two universities in the cities of Erbil and Sulaimaniyah was conducted, and the collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS. The findings demonstrated a positive correlation between the perceived desirability and the business student’s entrepreneurial intentions but no significant connection with perceived feasibility. These results indicate that students’ choice to pursue entrepreneurship is mainly driven by their willingness and interest in the field, highlighting the significance of the psychological elements in Shapero and Sokol's model for enhancing students' entrepreneurial intentions. The study adds to the existing literature on factors influencing entrepreneurial intentions among university students in developing countries, providing valuable insights for university administration and educators in developing curricula and programs that align with students' goals in shaping their future endeavours, as well as for policymakers seeking to promote an entrepreneurial culture among university students in the KRI region.

This paper aims to quantify the impact of selected demographic, financial, and economic factors on the propensity to do business in the taxi sector of the sharing economy. The sample comprised 375 taxi drivers from the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. Data were collected using the query method via a questionnaire in April 2022. The structure of the respondents is divided into shared taxi service providers (N = 294) and traditional taxi service providers (N = 69). The study selected 14 factors: demographic (4), financial (7), and economic (3). The SEM approach was applied to evaluate the hypotheses. Shared taxi providers have a stronger propensity to do business than traditional taxi drivers. Demographic characteristics of a traditional taxi driver are the most significant factors with a strong influence on the propensity to do business (βS = 0.525 &gt; βT = 0.425). On the other hand, the financial and economic characteristics of shared taxi drivers strongly influence the propensity to do business (βT = 0.565 &gt; βS = 0.212). The characteristics of the enterprise are on the verge of significance in relation to the tendency to do business with shared taxi drivers, as opposed to traditional taxi drivers. For traditional taxi drivers, there is a strong influence of the characteristics of the enterprise on the propensity to do business (βT = 0.476 &gt; βS = 0.026). This study contributes to understanding how participating in sharing economy may stimulate the propensity to do business.
