This study aims to examine the effect of intellectual capital on the performance of UMKM tempe craftsmen in Sukabumi City. The intellectual capital measurement uses four sub-variables, namely social capital, customer capital, human capital, and technology capital, while the performance of MSMEs is measured using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The population in this study was all Tempe craftsmen SMEs who are members of the Tempe Producers Association in Sukabumi City. We used a sampling technique called saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study was multiple linear regression using SPSS as a data processing tool. The findings of this study indicate that social capital and technological capital have no significant effect on the performance of SMEs. Customer capital and human capital have a significant positive effect on MSME performance. While social capital, customer capital, human capital, and technology capital all impact the performance of UMKM tempe craftsmen in Sukabumi City.

SMEs are essential in national economic growth, so it concerns various groups. Intangible resources such as knowledge and skills are the basis of SMEs' competitive advantage. Integrating these two things will provide a rapid growth acceleration for SMEs. Intellectual capital (CI) is a core concept of the company's strategic resources to create a competitive advantage. SMEs have a more straightforward organizational structure and solid internal social relations than large companies. This study aims to address this gap by analyzing the impact of intellectual capital (CI) on SMEs' financial performance (FP). The design of this research is causal research with a survey method. In taking the sample, non-probability sampling was used with the convenience sampling technique on SME owners along the coast of West Aceh. The hypothesis was tested using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The findings in this study prove that the three components of intellectual capital, namely human capital (HC), structural capital (SC), and relational capital (RC), affect the financial performance (FP) of SMEs. This study concludes that intellectual capital is significant for the financial performance of SMEs.

This study examines the influences of Islamic microfinancing, human capital development, and information and communication technology (ICT) usage on the performance of Malaysian women micro-entrepreneurs funded by an Islamic microfinance institution (IMFI). It considers Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) as the study setting and adopts a quantitative approach involving 120 women micro-entrepreneurs. The questionnaire was distributed to women micro-entrepreneurs in Selangor state employing a convenience sampling method. The model was analysed utilising the partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that Islamic microfinancing, human capital, and ICT usage positively influence the performance of women micro-entrepreneurs. The empirical findings enhance the literature by extending the resource-based view (RBV), a soft theory in the organisational theory literature, by incorporating Islamic microfinancing in the context. It is hoped the study will assist IMFIs and governments in strengthening infrastructures, developing comprehensive business strategies, and educating women micro-entrepreneurs about the possibilities of the digital economy for long-term business sustainability and development.
