Energy calculation model of an outgoing conveyor with application of a transfer chute with the damping plate

Abstract: Abstract. The energy efficiency of transport systems consisting of several belt conveyors is significantly affected by re-direction. The proper sizing of several conveyor belts using deflector plates can significantly affect their efficiency. At present, there are no uniform rules (models) which specify the methodology and procedures for their design. This paper brings proposals of design of optimal parameters for energy-efficient operation of the transport system consisting of belt conveyors based on the new … Show more

“…It serves as a coupling between the gearbox and the driven mechanism. One of the possible applications is also to drive hose conveyors [13][14][15][16][17]. The pyramidal surface serves to compensate for unevenness between the coupled mechanisms and at the same time for torque transmission [18].…”

“…However, due to the scale and the amount of the material flowing through them [8], they are exposed to various risks. Therefore, a very important aspect is understanding the loads acting on the receiving bin structure located under the retention bunker, which is directly subjected to all static forces from the vertical column of material and dynamic forces from falling rocks [9]. At the loading points of transfer chutes, or retention bunkers, the ore falls onto steel elements and the conveyor belt with a certain force whose value depends on its size and velocity, as well as the geometry of the structure [10].…”
