Electrochemical Immunosensor for Diagnostic of Parasitical Human Diseases

Abstract: In this paper the preparation and electrochemical characterization of an immunosensor for Chagas disease is described. The results obtained indicating the possibility of modification of ITO surface by formation of an LbL film constructed by the intercalation of PVS as polyanion and AgNP-SiPy + as polycation. The LbL films were then modified by the incorporation of Chagas ATG on theirs surface. These modified LbL films showed a pronounced impedance change when in the presence of the Chagas ATB indicating that t… Show more

“…A hybrid AgNPs‐SiPy + composite prepared from silsesquioxane 3‐n‐propylpyridinium chloride was intercalated with poly(vinylsulfate) for the fabrication of label‐by‐label films and further modification of an ITO electrode. An immunosensor for anti‐ T.cruzi was developed by immobilization the antigen and EIS measurement of antibody interaction . Qualitative diagnosis of Chagas’ disease for verifying the presence or the absence of T cruzi using a simple configuration was also proposed by Santos et al .…”

“…Due to these properties, the SiPy + Cl − has been used as stabilizer on the synthesis and incorporation of metallic nanoparticles, MNp-Sipy + Cl − (M = Pt, Ag and Au). [32][33][34][35] These nanocomposites were obtained by reduction in situ of metal salt solutions with nanoparticles sizes around 6-10 nm. For this reason, this ionic hybrid consists as an interesting material for the construction of LbL films.…”
