Effets de preparations commerciales de benomyl, mancozebe, sulfate de cuivre et dichlofluanide sur la fecondite de Drosophila melanogaster meigen

Abstract: Four day old Drosophila pairs were maintained on nutritive media surface treated with fungicide doses according to the standard level recommended by the manufacturers. The flies were treated for 1 to 6 weeks and the eggs laid in 3 hours were counted each week during and after treatment. The capacity of treated flies egg laying was determined on treated media and then on untreated one. For the benomyl preparation (Benlate) and the mancozebe preparation (Dithane M45), there was an overall reduction of the egg ma… Show more

“…Still another study has concluded that individuals exposed to cadmium in their lives had a clear decrease in egg fertility (Gelegen and Yeşilada 2000). In addition, some fungicides are reported to lower egg fertility, depending on the duration of the effect (Marchal-Segault 1993). Furthermore, triazophos is noted to cause a considerable increase in sterility after application on Drosophila melanogaster by means of injection (Vélazquez et al 1990).…”

“…In flies, depending upon the dose, this compound leads to positive and negative effects. Positively, copper works by activating superoxide dismutase to regulate oxidative stress, modulating the genotoxic effects of reactive oxygen species and therefore, fly survival increases; while copper intoxication leads to the opposite outcome (Marchal-Ségault, 1993;Matsuo, Ooe and Ishikawa, 1997;Arcaya et al , 2013;Southon, Burke and Camakaris, 2013;Carmona et al , 2015). This suggests that the species harbored in the A .…”
