“…Consequently, the authors emphasized the importance of CPR education for lay rescuers. Sun Ro et al have shown that in cases of cardiac arrest at home, in orphanages, and in dormitories, CPR with assistance from a dispatcher was associated with better neurologic outcomes for patients (10). We also think that CPR applied after CPR education is of higher quality than CPR administered with the assistance of a dispatcher.…”

“…Improvements in survival with favorable neurological function at hospital discharge 31,33,34 and at 1 month 26 were reported among patients with OHCA who received bystander DA-CPR compared with those who received no bystander CPR. In addition, improved survival (regardless of neurological status) was reported at hospital discharge 31,33,34,37,38 and at 1 month. 26 Recipients of DA-CPR were also more likely to achieve sustained ROSC than those who received no bystander CPR.…”

“…26 Three studies examined the delivery of bystander CPR in systems that offered DA-CPR compared with those that did not. In addition to the All-Japan study reported by Goto et al, 26 2 studies 25,31 included unadjusted analysis of 3309 children with OHCA. These studies reported a significantly higher rate of CPR in the cohorts offered DA-CPR in both unadjusted and adjusted analyses.…”

“…Compared to the no BCPR group, both independent BCPR (Adjusted OR 1.62; 95% CI 1.23 to 2.11) group and DACPR group (Adjusted OR 1.63; 95% CI 1.32 to 2.02) had higher survival rates. Ro et al [30] performed a cross-sectional study using a nationwide, prospective registry of OHCAs in South Korea with all emergency medical services (EMS) treated paediatric OHCAs enrolled between 2012 and 2014. Out of a total of 1529 patients, 32.8% had bystander CPR with dispatcher assistance, 17.3% without dispatcher assistance, and 54.6% cases did not receive BCPR.…”
