Effect of Pelleting Size and Pellet Binder Level on Broiler Chicken Performance.

Abstract: his study aimed to examine effects of pellet size and binder (calcium lignosulfonate, CLS) levels on performance and carcass during finisher period. About 180 one-day old Arbo Acres chicks were allocated on 6 groups of 30 birds each. Birds of all groups were offered the same starter and grower diets and then the experimental finisher diets were presented to birds. Starting from 29 days, finisher diets were offered in a (2*3) factorial design. (T1) diet was pelleted 3.5 mm with CLS 0.2% as control diet, (T2): 3… Show more

“…Vitamin E has also been shown to stimulate the immune system responsible for energy partition away from growth to inhibit lipid catabolism (Peiretti et al, 2013). In contrast, El-Medany et al (2008) showed non-significant alterations in dressing and carcass weights when rabbits were fed diets containing 30 and 45% dried tomato pomace. In contrast, Elwan et al (2018) found that 1 and 2% DTPP supplementation increased the carcass weight of rabbits.…”

“…Conversely, Elwan et al (2018) demonstrated that albumin, A/G ratio, and creatinine concentrations were decreased by tomato pomace supplementation at 1 and 2% levels in rabbit diets, whereas globulin concentration was increased. Likewise, El‐Medany et al (2008) reported that plasma cholesterol was reduced by rabbit‐fed diets, including dried tomato pomace up to 30.0%.…”
