“…The ME, CP, and NDF contents of the kikuyuryegrass pasture in the current study were similar to those of Van der Colf et al (2015), as reported in the second year of establishment during the summer season. As expected, the IVOMD was 20% lower (646 versus 802 g/kg DM), ME content was 19% lower (9.36 versus 11.5 MJ/kg DM) and the NDF content was 4% higher (514 versus 494 g/kg DM) for the study pasture in comparison with similar pasture during spring (Van Wyngaard et al, 2015). Therefore, it is plausible that pasture in the current study was of lower quality.…”
