This study aimed to evaluate the influence of drip irrigation and micro-sprinkler on the dendrometric parameters of two Eucalyptus hybrids at 45 months. The experiment was carried out in Aquidauana, MS, using an experimental design of randomized blocks in split plot scheme. The dendrometric attributes of the trees evaluated were height, diameter at breast height, volume, shape factor, taper, and dry mass production. The Grancam hybrid has the highest growth in height, and the Urograndis has the largest diameter at breast height. Drip irrigation provides an increase of 36.7% in the wood volume of eucalyptus hybrids when compared to those that were not irrigated.

Fertilization in areas of forest plantations is needed to supplement plants´ nutritional needs until harvest. An experiment was performed to check the influence of fertilization on levels of ash, carbon and C/N relation in Schizolobium amazonicum. Soil liming was performed and fertilization occurred after 15 days of incubation. S. amazonicum seedlings were produced and submitted to fertilization with N, P and K: N = 0, 40, 80 and 120 kg ha -1 ; P 2 O 5 = 0, 50, 100 and 200 kg ha -1 ; K 2 O = 0, 50, 100 and 200 kg ha -1 . The plants were measured after 180 days. The seedlings of 20 treatments with the highest increase in height and diameter were transplanted to the field. Soil was fertilized and limestone was spread; seedlings were distributed into randomized blocks, with six replications. After 12 months, the plants were removed to determine ash, organic carbon, C/N relation contents. The ashes were submitted to digestion to determine nutrient concentrations. Fertilization influenced the levels of ash and organic carbon and C/N relation in S. amazonicum. Results indicate that the species has a potential for energy production.

Custos e índices econômicos de povoamentos de eucalipto do Programa Produtor Florestal no Espírito Santo

Resumo -Com o objetivo de analisar a atividade de produção de madeira proveniente do Programa Produtor Florestal como alternativa econômica de investimento, foram coletados dados de custos de implantação de povoamentos de eucalipto, bem como os custos referentes à colheita e ao transporte. Os custos das atividades na fase de implantação, além dos preços da madeira (m³), foram obtidos junto à empresa Fibria S.A. Os custos de colheita e transporte foram obtidos por meio de aplicação de questionários em seis propriedades, em municípios do Sul do Estado do Espírito Santo. Todos os valores de custos e preços foram corrigidos pelo IPCA para 2014. A avaliação compreendeu a análise dos custos referentes ao processo de produção, colheita e transporte e sua participação no custo total da atividade. Também foram calculados os índices econômicos renda bruta, margem bruta, margem líquida, lucratividade e rentabilidade da atividade. Os custos com maior participação na produção foram custo da terra (34,90%), implantação (23,34%), transporte (21,09%) e colheita (20,67%). De acordo com os índices econômicos aplicados, o investimento em reflorestamento mostrou-se como uma alternativa viável economicamente para os produtores, considerando a produtividade obtida e o preço do m³ da madeira praticado pela empresa.Abstract -Aiming to analyze timber production activity from the Producer Forest Program as an economic investment alternative, we collected data from eucalyptus plantations. We considered the costs of establishment, harvest and transportation separately. The costs of implantation and the price of wood (m³) were obtained from the company Fibria S.A. The harvesting and transportation costs were obtained from questionnaires applied in six properties in municipalities in the south of Espírito Santo State. All values of costs and prices were adjusted by the IPCA for 2014. The assessment includes an analysis of the costs for the production process, harvesting and transport and its participation in the total cost of the activity. It also includes the calculation of economic indicators of the activity as income gross, gross margin, net margin, profitability and rentability. The costs with greater participation in the production process were cost of land (34.91%), implantation (23.33%), transport (21.09%) and harvest (20.65%). According to the applied economic indices, the reforestation investment proved to be an economically viable alternative to producers, considering the obtained productivity and the wood price practiced by the company.
