ResumoEste trabalho teve por objetivo identificar a sintomatologia visual das carências de macronutrientes e produção de massa seca em mudas de cerejeira (Amburana acreana), cultivadas em solução nutritiva. As mudas de cerejeira foram produzidas em tubetes de 180 cm³ e posteriormente transplantadas para sacolas plásticas (17 x 10 cm). Ao atingirem 20 cm de altura, foram transplantadas para tubos de PVC preenchidos com areia e submetidas por 30 dias a solução nutritiva completa, correspondente ao período de adaptação. Em seguida, as mudas foram submetidas por 90 dias a soluções nutritivas completa e com omissão de N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, constituindo sete tratamentos e três repetições em delineamento inteiramente casualizado. A cada 30 dias, as mudas foram avaliadas em altura e diâmetro de colo e os sintomas de deficiência foram identificados. Após os 90 dias de aplicação de solução nutritiva, as mudas foram secas em estufa e a biomassa seca foi determinada. Concluiu-se que P, S e N foram os macronutrientes que mais limitaram o crescimento das mudas de Amburana acreana e P e S, a produção de matéria seca. Houve maior absorção de N, P e K na parte aérea das mudas de cerejeira e de N e Mg pelo sistema radicular. Palavras-chave: Espécie florestal; viveiro florestal; nutrição de plantas. Abstract Description of visual symptoms under macronutrients deficiency in seedlings of cerejeira (Amburana acreana ducke).This study aimed to identify the visual symptoms of deficiencies of nutrients and dry mass production in seedlings of cherry (Amburana acreana), grown in nutrient solution. Cherry seedlings were grown in tubes 180 cm³ and later transplanted into plastic bags (17 x 10 cm). Upon reaching 20 cm height were transplanted to PVC tubes filled with sand and subjected to 30 days to complete nutritive solution, corresponding to the period of adaptation. Then the seedlings were subjected for 90 days, to complete nutrient solutions and with the omission of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, constituting seven treatments and three replications in a randomized design. Every 30 days, the seedlings were assessed for height and diameter, and deficiency symptoms were identified and photographed. After 90 days of application of nutrient solution, the seedlings were dried and the dry biomass was determinate. It was concluded that P, S and N were the macronutrients that limit the growth of seedlings Amburana acreana and P and S, the dry mass production. There was greater absorption of N, P and K in shoots of the seedlings and N and Mg by root. A s cucurbitáceas representam um grande volume de hortaliças comercializadas no Brasil. Incluem várias espécies que se destacam economicamente no abastecimento nacional pela ampla aceitação popular como o melão, melancia e abóboras (Filgueira, 2008). Em geral, as cucurbitáceas são produzidas em quantidades relativamente pequenas para consumo local e não costumam figurar nas estatísticas de produção de forma mais significativa, embora constituam itens importantes na dieta alimentar de muitos povos, na medida em que uma ou mais espécies sempre estão presentes nas áreas de cultivo, sejam em escala comercial ou não. No Brasil o pepino (Cucumis sativus) apresenta uma produção de 215.117 toneladas (aproximadamente 4,4% da produção nacional de hortaliças), a região centro-oeste contribui com uma produção de 19.723 toneladas (IBGE, 2006).O pepino encontra-se entre as hortaliças de frutos com maior interesse comercial no Brasil. É muito apreciado e consumido em todo o país, na forma de fruto imaturo em saladas, curtido em salmoura ou vinagre na forma de picles e raramente maduro e cozido. Além do valor econômico e alimentar, o cultivo do pepino também tem grande importância social, na geração de empregos diretos e indiretos, pois demanda grande quantidade de mão-de-obra, desde o cultivo até a comercialização (Fontes & Puiatti, 2005;Filgueira, 2008).Através do cultivo em ambiente protegido é possível obter aumento nos rendimentos, bem como um produto de melhor qualidade para comercialização, principalmente fora das épocas tradicionais de cultivo na região, minimizando o efeito da sazonalidade de produção, além de possibilitar o controle parcial de fatores responsáveis pelo crescimento e desenvolvimento das plantas. O cultivo RESUMOAvaliou-se a produção de pepino japonês Tsuyataro, com diferentes métodos de orientação do crescimento das hastes, a partir do controle de brotações laterais das hastes e do número de hastes por planta, realizados através da poda. O trabalho foi desenvolvido no período de outubro a dezembro de 2010, em ambiente protegido em Tangará da Serra-MT, adotando-se o delineamento em blocos casualizados, distribuídos em esquema fatorial 2x3. O primeiro fator foi constituído de desbrota, ou seja, realização ou não da retirada dos ramos laterais das hastes e o segundo fator foi constituído pelo controle do número de hastes por planta: uma, duas e três hastes/planta, em cinco repetições. Foram avaliadas as características número de frutos total e comercial; taxa de frutos comerciais, comprimento, diâmetro, relação comprimento/diâmetro do fruto, produtividade total e comercial de frutos por planta; e massa média dos frutos do pepino. A condução da haste principal sem a retirada dos ramos laterais foi o tratamento que apresentou superioridade com relação ao número de frutos total e comercial por planta (19,4 e 16,0), e também maior produtividade total e comercial de frutos (4.235,8 e 3.438,3 g/planta). RESUMOA procura de informações sobre sorgo tem aumentado e parece estar associada ao seu maior potencial produtivo, maior resistência ao déficit hídrico, o surgimento de novas cultivares e expansão do seu cultivo na região do Cerrado. Com base nisso, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho verificar os sintomas típicos e individualizados de deficiência nutricional de macronutrientes na cultura do sorgo, mediante a observação dos efeitos da omissão de nutrientes no desenvolvimento das plantas e avaliar os efeitos dessas omissões na composição mineral do sorgo. Foram cultivadas plantas de sorgo em solução nutritiva completa de Sarruge (1975), submetidas aos seguintes tratamentos: omissão de N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S. Aos dois dias após o início do ensaio, as plantas apresentaram os primeiros indícios de deficiência, que foram descritos e caracterizados. Quando os sintomas estavam definidos as plantas foram coletadas, lavadas, separadas em folhas, colmo e raízes, colocadas para secar, para posterior determinação de massa seca, área foliar e teores de macronutrientes. Os sintomas visuais de deficiência de nutrientes mostraram-se de uma maneira geral facilmente caracterizáveis. A produção de massa seca foi afetada pela omissão de nutrientes e os tratamentos que mais afetaram as diferentes partes das plantas e as áreas foliares foram as omissões de nitrogênio, cálcio e magnésio. ABSTRACTThe searching for information about sorghum is increasing and seems to be connected to a greater pontential of productivity, greater resistance to hydro deficit, the forthcoming of new cultivate with good characteristics for the grain production and expansion of its culture in the bushy region. Based on this, the objectives of this work was to verify the typical symptoms and the unique nutritional differences of macronutrients in the sorghum cultivate, by observation of the effects in the omission of nutrients in the development of the plants and this omission effects in the mineral composition of sorghum. The sorghum plants were cultivated in nutritive complete solution of Sarruge (1975), and subordinated to the following elements omissions: N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S. Two days after the start of the research the plants showed already deficiency which was described and characterized. When the symptoms were decisive the plants were collected, washed, separated in leaves, culms, roots, and put to dry, for a posterior determination of dried mass, leave s area and macro and micronutrients values. The treatments that most affect the dry mass of the different parts of the plants even the leaves were the Nitrogen Calcium and Magnesium omission. Resumo:Objetivou-se identificar a sintomatologia visual das carências de macronutrientes, o crescimento e, os nutrientes mais absorvidos pelas mudas de mogno africano (Khaya anthotheca Welv.), submetidas à omissão de macronutrientes. As mudas foram produzidas em tubetes contendo areia, em seguida, transplantadas para tubos de PVC com areia e, submetidas por 15 dias à solução completa em nutrientes. Logo após, aplicou-se as soluções nutritivas, completa (macro e micronutrientes) e com omissão de N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S, por 90 dias, constituindo um delineamento inteiramente casualizado com sete tratamentos e quatro repetições. Os sintomas de deficiências foram descritos a cada cinco dias. Ao final do experimento, as mudas foram avaliadas em altura, diâmetro, biomassa seca, índice de qualidade de Dickson e concentração de macronutrientes. Abstract:The study aimed to identify the visual symptoms of macronutrients deficiencies, growth and the most absorbed by african mahogany (Khaya anthotheca Welv.) seedlings, submitted to macronutrients omission. The seedlings were grown in tubes containing sand, then were transplanted to PVC tube with sand and submitted for 15 days to complete nutrient solution. Then, were submitted for 90 days to complete nutrient solutions (macro and micronutrients) and omission of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S, constituting a randomized design with seven treatments and four replications. The symptoms of deficiency were described each five days. At the end of the experiment, the seedlings were evaluated to height, diameter, dry biomass, Dickson quality index and concentration of macronutrients. In this context, the growth and quality of Khaya anthotheca was more limited by N, K and S omissions that were the most absorbed by the seedlings on complete solutions.

RESUMO: O plantio de espécies fl orestais é uma atividade que, além de introduzir novos gêneros exóticos, pode atenuar os impactos ambientais decorrentes do extrativismo. Entretanto, esse sucesso depende, entre outros fatores, do conhecimento das necessidades nutricionais da espécie a ser utilizada. Objetivou-se verifi car os sintomas típicos de defi ciência nutricional de macronutrientes na cultura do nim, através da observação visual das plantas. O experimento foi realizado em casa de vegetação na Faculdade de Agronomia e Medicina Veterinária (FAMEV) da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT), em Cuiabá/MT, e foi instalado em blocos casualizados, com sete tratamentos e três repetições. Cada unidade experimental foi representada por um vaso plástico de dois litros de capacidade. Os tratamentos utilizados foram: solução nutritiva completa e com omissão dos nutrientes: -N, -P, -K, -Ca, -Mg e -S. Verifi cou-se que os sintomas visuais de defi ciência de nutrientes foram, de maneira geral, facilmente caracterizáveis com exceção do tratamento com omissão de enxofre. SYMPTOMS OF NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES IN NEEM PLANTS CULTIVATED IN NUTRIENT SOLUTION ABSTRACT: The planting of forest species is an activity that, besides introducing new exotic types of plants, can lessen the environmental impacts resulting from extractivism. Nevertheless, such success depends, upon other factors, on the knowledge of the nutritional needs of the species to be used. This study intended to check the typical symptoms of nutritional defi ciency of macronutrients in the culture of Neem, through the visual observation of the plants. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse at the College of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (FAMEV) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) in Cuiabá/MT, and it was set up in randomized blocks, with seven treatments and three repetitions. Each experimental unit was represented by a plastic vase, two liters capacity. The treatments used were: complete nutritive solution and solution with the omission of the following nutrients: -N, -P, -K, -Ca, -Mg and -S. It was ascertained that the visual symptoms of nutrient defi ciency were, as a general rule, of easy characterization except for the treatment with omission of sulphur. Therefore, the omission of macronutrients decreases the production of total dry matter of the Neem plants, except for the omission of the S nutrient. The aim of this study was to evaluate the loss of water and nutrients by laminar runoff in different soil tillage systems subjected to natural rainfall. Five experimental plots were established for the cultivation of cotton in the city of Campo Verde-MT, with the following treatments: CTDP = conventional soil tillage and planting of the cotton in the direction of the slope; CTCP = conventional tillage and contour planting; CP = tillage of soil with a disk harrow and a leveling harrow, followed by contour planting; CoP = tillage by two passes of a leveling harrow followed by contour planting; MTCP = minimum tillage with contour planting. The losses of water by laminar runoff in were determined by the stored volume and samples were taken to quantify nutrient losses in water (nitrite, nitrate, phosphate and potassium). The losses of water by runoff were highest for the CTDP; intermediate for the treatments CTCP, CoP and MTCP, and lowest for the CP. Potassium (K) was the nutrient that had the highest concentrations and losses in water: the highest values were found in the CTDP and CTCP tillage systems, whereas the lowest were observed for the CP, CoP, and MTCP treatments. The concentrations and the losses by water erosion of phosphate (PO4 3-), nitrite (NO2-), and nitrate (NO3-) were low in all of the soil tillage systems compared to the losses of K in this study.

ABSTRACT:The objective of this study was to evaluate carbon input in labile and stable fractions in an ARGISOL of northwestern Brazil under different land use systems. Use systems being evaluated include: forest -MA (reference), agrosilvopasture -TCP (teak, cocoa and pasture); agroforest -TC (teak and cocoa); teak forest at 8 and 5 years -T8 and T5, and pasture -PA. In each system three furrows were made at depths of 0-5 cm, 5-10 cm and 10-20 cm. An area consisting of native vegetation (forest) adjacent to the experiment was sampled and used as control treatment. The use systems MA, T8 and T5 had higher levels of total organic carbon (COT) and the MA system had higher levels of labile carbon (CL) than the other systems, with the exception of TC at a depth of 10-20 cm. In the MA system, COT levels were higher in comparison to use systems TCP, TC and PA while CL levels were higher than the levels observed in use systems TCP and TC. In most cases being analyzed, CL levels were lower than COT levels, therefore this trait can be used as an indicator to assess anthropogenic changes relating to the maintenance or condition of soil organic matter.Key words: Soil compartments, Amazonia, lability. FRAÇÃO OXIDÁVEL DO CARBONO ORGÂNICO DE UM ARGISSOLO SOB DIFERENTES SISTEMAS DE USO

A calagem interfere na disponibilidade de nutrientes, uma vez que recondiciona o solo. Essa mudança pode ser favorável ou não, dependendo da cultura a ser implantada e do solo a ser corrigido. Diante disso, realizou-se experimento com o objetivo de avaliar os efeitos do calcário, cuja quantidade foi calculada seguindo o método da incubação com CaCO3, nas características químicas de dois solos, um com textura arenosa e outro com textura argilosa. Primeiramente, foi efetuada a incubação do solo com o calcário, que foi mantido em sacolas plásticas por 40 dias, considerando os tipos de solos estudados. A quantidade de calcário dependeu das doses testadas, que foram distribuídas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, constituindo 10 tratamentos (doses) e três repetições, sendo: 0,0; 0,5; 1,0; 2,5; 5,0; 7,5; 10,0; 12,5; 15,0 e 20,0 t ha-1. Após incubação, realizaram-se as análises químicas dos solos. A elevação das doses de calcário, aplicadas ao Latossolo Vermelho distrófico, proporcionou alterações nos teores de Ca, Mg, H, Al e Fe; que culminaram em alterações em características como pH, CTC, V% e m%, tanto quando a textura deste foi argilosa, quanto quando foi média.Palavras-chave: calagem; fração textural; CaCO3; correção do solo. METHOD OF INCUBATION WITH LIMESTONE IN THE CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SOILS WITH DIFFERENT TEXTURES ABSTRACT: Liming interferes on the availability of nutrients, because it reconditions the soil. This change may or may not be favorable, depending on the culture to be implanted and the soil to be corrected. For this, a experiment was realized with the objective of to evaluate the effects of limestone, that the quantity was calculated using the method of incubation with CaCO3, in the chemical characteristics of two soils, one with medium texture and the other with a clayey texture. First, the soil was incubated with the limestone and the material was kept in plastic bags for 40 days, considering the types of soils studied. The amount of limestone depended on the doses tested, which were distributed in a completely randomized design, constituting 10 treatments (doses) and three replications, that were: 0.0; 0.5; 1.0; 2.5; 5.0; 7.5; 10.0; 12.5; 15.0 and 20.0 t ha-1. After incubation, analyzes of the chemical characteristics of the soils, were carried out. The increase of limestone doses, applied to the dystrophic Red Latosol, caused alterations in Ca, Mg, H, Al and Fe contents; culminating in changes in characteristics as pH, CTC, V% and m%, when the texture was clayey and medium.Keywords: liming; fraction textural; CaCO3; soil correction.
