Dynamics of Skin Barrier Repair following Topical Applications of Miconazole Nitrate

Abstract: The skin barrier function (SBF) is an important aspect of skin biology, particularly in the elicitation of inflammation. The SBF recovery rate after tape stripping and surfactant challenge can be assessed by measuring the transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
